Our Mission:  By providing a well-rounded education, our graduates benefit the community with tailored Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork sessions.  We teach not only a science but an art as well; by encouraging our students to blend their knowledge of anatomy with their kinesthetic intuition, we utilize passion to heal.

We are now interviewing applicants for our September 13, 2010 Daytime or Evening Sessions. 

The Institute for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Inc is a bonded Institution, and is licensed by the PA Dept. of Education/Division of Private Licensed Schools, qualifying us as an approved school since the beginning of our existence in 2003. ***Pennsylvania law requires massage therapists to be formally educated by a legally licensed school.  ITMB has been bonded and legally licensed since our beginnings in 2003.  We are now accepting applications for our September 13, 2010 sessions.  Yes we still offer low tuition too and have a payment plan for those who need to utilize that option.

A Note from Deborah: My life's mission is to help others in some capacity.  Personally, I became a massage therapist because of my desire  to make a difference in people's lives, especially to those who were suffering.   I wanted to provide a little peace and comfort to those who were suffering with chronic pain.  Eventually, in 2003 I opened a school in Chadds Ford, Pa. with the intention of providing a well rounded base education to individuals so that they would have the opportunity to be of better service to their communities.  Instructing as well as helping others has been rewarding on many levels.  I feel as though I have been blessed to have met so many wonderful souls.

The Institute for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Inc. has much to offer its students!  We have dedicated Instructors and Graduates. Low tuition, our tuition is just 5700.  We still have a 100% pass rate with the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.   Our program prepares you for the work force along with the National Exam and we have fun too.   

Instructor: Deborah Finley, NCTMB, Director of Education:Deborah Finley has been a bodyworker since 1999. She has experience in both the Salon and Medical industries of massage. She has an array of continued education in her field, has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1981, is a Reiki Master/Teacher, and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.  Deborah specializes in medical/therapeutic massage.  She was inspired to share her knowledge with other individuals who were of like mind. With combined holistic and allopathic approaches in mind she created the Therapeutic Massage Program and opened the Institute for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Inc. in Chadds Ford PA. in 2003.   Deborah stays current in her field by continuing her education.  She works with those in the medical allopathic field, including hospice care.  She enjoys every aspect of her career.  Deborah is an active board member of her local Lioness Club, and  she is also the parent advisor for the local Leo's Club. 

Instructor Beth McKinney, NCTMB: Beth McKinney has been a massage therapist since 1997.  She is a graduate of the Owens Institute of Wellness and Wholistic Sciences.  Beth was an Assistant Instructor at Owens.  She has experience in both the wellness, and spa industries of massage.  In addition to being Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Beth holds a degree in skin care; she is a Reiki Master/Teacher and is a dedicated practitioner in the healing field.  She along with her husband George, who is also a LMT, Reiki practitioner and specializes in Myo-Fascial Release, work together in their private practice in Boothwyn, PA.  They utilize their combined skills to help their client's maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Class Size: At the Institute for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Inc. our heart is the students. They are important to us.  We believe that 10 students per class is appropriate for providing an ideal learning environment for our students. Smaller class sizes allow our instructors as well as their students to focus on the quality of their education.  The Institute for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Inc. knows the significance of providing the community and employers with a practitioner who is qualified in both the science and the art of this rewarding career.

Method of Instruction: A variety of media will be used throughout the presentation of this program. Lectures as well as demonstration will be combined with hands-on reinforcement type activities.
